PF695 Earthstone Professional Textured Red Stoneware

PF695 Textured Red Stoneware is suitable for potters seeking a high firing red clay body to make large pieces. Based on PF690 but with added grog, PF695 is excellent for creating large, hand built pieces or sculptures, without any slumping. It can also be used as a Red Raku body.  PF695 is resistant to warping, cracking and thermal shock. Firing between, 1160-1220°C, gives a brick red colour, with increasing temperature, 1220-1280°C, the colour gradually darkens to a rich reddish brown.

This body is made with a very sharp grog and is extremely abrasive if used for throwing. Be Warned!
