Typically either SiO2 29%, Al2O3 12%, PbO 59% in Europe or in the UK SiO2 34%, Al2O3 <2.0%, PbO 64% Good clear, general purpose lead frit for developing rich, bright surfaces and good reaction to colours.
Safer way to introduce lead than lead oxide, particularly suitable for red clays.
Specially coated to reduce solubility.
